Vinita Nair

In July 2004 she joined the station as a reporter and reported on a wide range of news stories, including investigating the murder of Jon Benet Ramsey and the shootings that occurred in Bailey, Colorado. Nair was hired to ABC News in December 2007 as a reporter/anchor on ABC News Now. As a reporter she anchors live news coverage and news briefs for ABC's network on the internet. Nair was co-anchor on World News Now and America This Morning on ABC, from September 17th, 2008 until February 18, 2011. In both programs Nair was initially paired by Jeremy Hubbard then later Rob Nelson. Nair announced on Thursday, 17th February 2011, the date for her final night hosting on World News Now would be on Friday, February 18th. Her final day with ABC News would be Friday the 18th of February. Former KDVR Denver anchor Peggy Bunker was her immediate successor. Each of the three segments of the World News Now's February 18 broadcast, Nair was honored by her former colleagues as well as Jeremy Hubbard. Nair treated her crew to hot food during her last day.
