Alinity was featured in a suit against Twitch. Erik Estavillo, a Twitch viewer from California made a complaint to the civil court seeking $25 million in damages from Twitch for exposing them to "overly explicit and sexually explicit content that came from female streamers" as they browsed the site. Based on court papers obtained through Dexerto the plaintiff who was previously sued by Microsoft, Sony, Nintendo and Blizzard Entertainment, presented the formal complaint to court on June 15 seeking a lawsuit. Twitch was served an formal summons on June 19. Estavillo is one of the men who, as per his complaint to Santa Clara Superior Court of California filed on June 15 was suffering from obsessive/compulsive problems including sexual addiction as well as other medical problems that make him use the internet exclusively to entertain himself. The complaint also claims Twitch exacerbates these conditions. According to the complaint "the female streamers continue to expose Twitch viewers that just want to watch people play video games, but instead are subjected to sexually addictive content as well as content on a continuous every day every day." Alinity is not included. As part of the demand for relief, the group wants to ban forever all streamers that have broken the Twitch Terms of Service. $25 million is also sought, "to be divided between the plaintiff as well as other Twitch prime Turbo Subscribers" while the remaining funds will go to charities.
